What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the name brand of popular clear aligners. These orthodontic devices are used to straighten teeth. They work similarly to braces, helping to push teeth together and straighten your smile over time. However, unlike braces, Invisalign clear aligners don’t use any metal or ceramic. Instead, these oral appliances are made of a durable plastic that can effectively fix a wide range of tooth alignment issues. If you have crooked teeth and don’t want to deal with standard braces, Invisalign could be the answer! To get started with Invisalign treatment at Premier Dentistry is the name you can trust.

What to Expect
Invisalign treatment starts off with a consultation with your dentist. This appointment is intended to figure out if Invisalign is right for you. Keep in mind that not everyone is suitable for this treatment
If your dentist gives you the OK for Invisalign, you’ll then need a scan of your teeth. Your provider will use a special scanning device to get this information. This innovative scanner displays a 3D model of your teeth and maps out a treatment plan moving forward. After these details are gathered, your Invisalign aligners will be developed in a lab.
Once your clear aligners have been created, you’ll have another dental visit to try them on and talk about the treatment process. Your provider will give you instructions on how to wear them, what to avoid, and what you can expect during treatment.
Keep in mind you’ll most likely receive several clear aligners to wear over the coming months. After you wear one aligner for about a week, you’ll switch to the next aligner tray in the set. The devices are clearly labeled so you’ll know which aligner you should wear next. Invisalign aligners should be worn for about 20 to 22 hours a day. You must remove them before flossing, brushing your teeth, eating, and drinking anything other than water.
Trusted Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign clear aligners provide many unique benefits compared to regular braces. For one, they have an excellent appearance. Many people won’t even be able to tell you’re wearing something over your teeth. Secondly, these clear aligners are removable! This allows you to eat normally without getting food caught between a device. Invisalign can change your life for the better!
